Zu meinen Arbeiten:

Erst das Tun, der Prozeß des Malens, des Zeichnens, der immer wieder neu angegangen werden muß, bringt das Resultat: Meine eigene Handschrift, lesbar für alle.

"Marianne Ambs arbeitet `aus dem Bauch heraus´. Intuitiv legt sie eine Farbschicht an, die sie in vielen Arbeitsgängen übermalt. Gerade diese Untermalung prägt die Farbwirkung, da schließlich jeder Ton durch die Behandlung des Untergrundes und die Nachbarfarben in seiner Wirkung und Leuchtkraft beeinflußt ist. Über die Schichten erreicht die Malerin sowohl in sanften Rhythmen als auch im bewegten Gestus eine eigentümliche Vibration."
Marianne Ambs wohnt in Neukirchen-Vluyn und arbeitet im Atelierhaus Duisburg-Baerl.

Methods of working
I prefer to find my materials by the riverside ... woods, pieces of plastic,… exploring possibilities for associations ... they become assemblages or photographic objects by getting fixed in photos of human bodies where they develop their associative nature. They point to inner mental areas, to layers, invisible from the outside, and further to fragility, psychological injury and superimpositions of the human soul with strange patterns and structures as well as to the possibilities of healing and liberation ... Other found objects are used in combination with materials such as felt, lead, clay or transparent paper in order to create poetic objects which lead to new perspectives.
